PAYNE STEWART AWARD

The Payne Stewart Award, presented annually by Southern Company and the PGA TOUR, honors a golfer who embodies Stewart's values of character, charity, and sportsmanship. On the 25th anniversary of Payne Stewart's death, we sought to pay tribute to his legacy, while celebrating those who are carrying it forward to this day.

EASTSIDE GOLF

Southern Company, through its PGA TOUR partnership, supports the First Tee nonprofit to empower youth and diversify golf.

We filmed this spot at Charlie Yates, the public golf course that Southern Company helps fund just down the street from the East Lake Country Club, where the TOUR Championship is played. The spot features real, local First Tee, Drew Charter and Morehouse College golfers.

The narrator is Olajuwon Ajanaku, Morehouse golf alumni and founder of Eastside Golf – the hottest golf apparel brand designed to make golf more attractive to younger generations.
